Catalytic Private Credit Fund

The Fund was launched in November 2020 under the Catalytic Funds VCC umbrella. Under its various Classes of Shares, the Fund offers exposure to either multiple managers through its fund-of-funds Classes or single managers through its single-manager Classes.

The fund-of-funds Classes enable an investor to get exposure to hundreds of heavily collateralised loans by making a single investment in the Fund. This allows massive risk diversification, yet delivers returns similar to what an investor would earn on a single loan, thereby enabling a considerable uplift in risk-adjusted returns. Catalytic, as investment manager of the Fund, provides due diligence expertise in selecting managers, working closely with them, and closely monitoring their loan books to ensure that the uplift in risk-adjusted returns is real and not just a perception. 

 

The single manager Classes enable an investor to get exposure to a single manager's expertise on a smaller portfolio of curated loans. An example of this is the close collaboration with Banner Capital Management -- an Australian property development finance specialist manager. The Fund is a "Two Teams; One Dream" project, with Catalytic making the investment decisions on which projects to invest in, and Banner conducting the on-the-ground research, due diligence, and project monitoring.
